How to Customise and Edit an Email Template

You can edit and customise the email templates to suit your company or program needs.

We provide a selection of email templates that you can turn on and off to suit your donation and registration activities, just look for the email name and description to find out the purpose of each one.

When you have decided and turned on an email template, you can click on the Edit button to customise the copy to align with your program communications.

Instructions

Once you have clicked on the Edit button, the Edit Preview Mode of the email template will appear. The left side of the screen will be the Edit fields and the right side of the screen will be the Preview Mode.

Remember to Click Save at the bottom of the screen when you have completed your changes otherwise you will lose all the changes you have made!

To edit the Subject field

Simply click on the field below Subject and replace or edit the text. This will be displayed in the Subject Title of the inbox when the user receives the email notification.

To edit the Email Content

This field is the main body of your email notification you can edit and update the copy here to suit your program needs. You can see at the top of the field there are formatting tools and hyperlinks available for you to use.

Remember that this template is shared across all your campaigns for money giving modules or opportunities for volunteering and Pro Bono. Keep note of the heading, email name and description of the template.

Feature Highlights

Injectable Variables (IV)

Are ways you can personalise your email template with content that has been captured on our platform eg User Name, Company Name, Campaign Name.

We have provided an extensive list for you to use. You will be able to see the IV name between the double brackets {{ }}. The description is on the right side of the name.

Simply copy and paste the whole IV including the {{ }} into the Subject Title or Email content fields on where you would like those details to be shown to the users.

To Add BCC address

Simply click on the button and select the employee email address you would like to receive a BCC.

We also have the option to narrow the employee type groups to which BCC is added.

 


Send Test Email to check that your updates and formatting suits your email system. Click on the button.

Simply enter the email address you would like to send the test email and Click Send.
