How to Use Workplace by Facebook in campaigns and opportunities

For organisations who use Workplace by Facebook as a workplace communication tool. Catalyser has created an add-on feature to support organisations who would like to integrate their Workplace with our platform. Once you have activated and integrated Workplace by Facebook on Catalyser, it is ready to use!

Please contact your Accounts Manager if you would like to know more about this add-on feature for Catalyser. This add-on is currently not available for our Community Impact Hub (CIH) customers.

Default setting for Sharing on Workplace

For your convenience, we have enabled sharing on Workplace for all campaigns and opportunities as default. This includes any current campaigns or opportunities you may have active!

So we recommend that your first step after integration is to review all your current campaigns and opportunities as you can customise the Workplace messaging for each campaign or opportunity.

Each time you create a campaign or opportunity sharing on Workplace will be enabled. To disable it, go to the Edit Preview Mode of the specific campaign or opportunity.

My Company > Campaigns > Edit.

For campaigns, scroll down the Edit Preview mode and below the Add Donation Tier button you will see the set up for Workplace by Facebook sharing. To disable sharing for this campaign untick the box and and click Save.

 

My Company > Volunteering > Action > Managing Volunteering > Opportunities > Edit.

My Company > Pro Bono > Opportunities > Edit.

For opportunities, scroll down the Edit Preview mode and below the Email Reminder section you will see the set up for Workplace by Facebook sharing. To disable sharing for this campaign untick the box and and click Save.

How to Customise and Edit your message on Workplace Sharing

Each campaign or opportunity with Workplace sharing has the ability to tailor their Workplace message.

When you are setting up Workplace sharing in Edit Preview Mode you have the choice to edit the Sharing Title and Description text fields. These fields will be displayed in your Workplace post each time your employees share posts about campaigns or opportunities in Workplace.

When you are finished you can Click Save.
