Your Pro Bono/ Skilled Volunteering Marketplace

'The Pro Bono' or 'Skilled Volunteering' icon on your navigation tab will redirect you to your pro bono marketplace. Here you can filter and select the opportunities for which you wish to register. 

Pro Bono opportunities are a great way to use your skills to help charities. Because some opportunities require specific skills, your registration needs to be finalised by your administrators. When your expression of interest is approved, you will receive a notification and you will not be able to withdraw your registration, unless you contact your administrator directly. 

The hours shown on your sessions are estimations of the time these services will take. Once you have volunteered your hours, you will need to add the exact number of hours you have volunteered on your 'My Giving' page. 

1.Filtering your opportunities 

To filter the opportunities available, click on the top right blue button “Filter Results”. 

Basic filters 

• You can filter your opportunities by their location and causes 
• A search bar is also available if needed  
• If you need additional filters, click on “Advanced Filters”.

Advanced filters 

• Add the start and end dates of your availability 
• Display your existing registrations by selecting “My registrations” 
• Display only the opportunities that are available by selecting “Available” 

2.Understanding your Pro Bono/Skilled Volunteering opportunities 

On the left side of the screen, you will see the full list of opportunities available with descriptions and their basic summary. 

Once you have clicked on one:

• The upper half of the slide show the global event name with a little description outlining the opportunity
• The bottom half shows (from left to right) the number of days available to register for this opportunity, the number of volunteers required and the location of the opportunity 

On the right side of the screen, the further details of the selected opportunity are displayed. If you scroll down this screen, you can see: 

• The full description of the opportunity 
• The requirements 
• The list of registered employees for each session 
• The name of the charity you are helping 
• Further contact information 

3.Registering your expressions of interest (EOI)

Once you have found an opportunity you are interested in, click on “I want to help” blue bar as shown in the image above.

This will direct you to the following image 

• Select the sessions you would like to participate in by clicking on them. Once selected, they display a small green tick button on the top right. Click on “Next Step” to proceed 
• To confirm your expression of interest to participate in a session click "Confirm your EOI" 
• You will receive an email of confirmation with date and time of your session(s) 

4.After your register your EOI  

• Your administrator will confirm your participation 
• When he/she has confirmed it, you will receive an email 
• You can add your hours volunteered only after you have volunteered
